I used to make Christmas so complicated. I had to have certain foods from a certain place. All the trimmings. Presents planned months in advance. Multiple presents for my children to open on Christmas Day (even if they barely touch them after that day).

In the lead-up, I’d be running around like a headless chook, wanting to make sure it was the best Christmas ever. Lights up, tree decorated, mince pies at the ready.

And on the day, from morning to night, I’d be focused on making the day special for everyone.

But I’d get to the end of the day drained and exhausted. Because I’d missed a huge part of making it special…for me!

I wanted to watch my son make his new Lego ship. I wanted to play with them and their new basketball, but somehow time would seem to run out. And before I knew it, I’d be an exhausted heap on the couch.

Can you relate?

Today Christmas looks very different. In the lead-up and the day itself - it feels fulfilling. I’m living in the moment more. I get to rest, read, cook, eat and play. Instead of being stressed and getting by, I'm relaxed whilst moving through the day.

The difference?

My mindset and how I allow time to unfold.

Christmas is how I want it to be now and it’s still special for everyone. You don't have to sacrifice you, to make it special for everyone else.

But there are a few key mindset shifts to make.

I want to share these shifts with you as well as answer any questions to reduce your stress levels this Christmas at my free webinar next week. This is for you to get tips, advice and ask questions to help you prevent Christmas burnout and have your best Christmas yet! Details are here to register and join.

Don’t let sneaky little stressors ruin your Christmas this year,

Much love

Dina xx
